Lake Ontario has many great sport fish, such as Chinook and Coho Salmon, Lake Trout, Steelhead and Brown Trout. We primarily target the King of these, the Chinook Salmon. The Chinook Salmon makes a very deadly adversary and is a very elusive fish; with its keen eyesight, and its elite senses, it's a tricky target. There is nothing more exciting then battling a monster King for your first time.
We start fishing the early spring salmon in St. Catharines, out of Port Dalhousie. We fish there up until mid July. We then move to Lake Erie for the month of August, but we return to Lake Ontario to finish the fall fish for the staging chinooks. When fishing for the staging chinooks you will be sure to catch the fish of a lifetime since these brutes are at the peak size of their lifespan before they run the river to spawn.
